An Event Review
The Northern California Chapters of IIDA and USGBC gathered together in an education forum Thursday evening, February 25, in the first collaboration of its kind.
Over 150 attendees gathered at Safeway’s Canyon Way facility in Pleasanton to learn more about Safeway’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program and to experience first-hand the sustainable features of the newly renovated facility.
Safeway, Turner Interiors and Interform renovated the building for its 450 corporate employees. The 143,000 square-foot project consisted of a transformation of the previous owner’s closed-door environment to the Silver level of LEED® guidelines.
Interior renovations consisted of new office space, training rooms, conference rooms, restrooms, a new cafe and E-Cafe´s.
